What We Believe
The spiritual family that meets at Vaughn Hill gathers around some very key values, which we wish to share with you. First and foremost that God is knowable through the revelation of Jesus His Son in the Bible. We believe that the purpose of a congregation is to help each person it influences, to love, know, and relate to their heavenly Father. At Vaughn Hill the highest value is seen in your personal relationship with God, and how it causes you to love others. We therefore, believe that to have that kind of relationship there a few key elements that are essential.

God can be known through the inspired Scripture.
Jesus is equal in nature to the Father, and that he is the only way to know God.
The Holy Spirit is equal to God and Jesus being their gift to help us become like Christ.
God’s church is built on Jesus being the Messiah, the Son of God.
The church is God’s family, and the visual & physical expression of that is a local congregation.
We are a non-denominational congregation belonging to the church built by Jesus in the first century.
To be a member of the family at Vaughn Hill you must have given your heart, spirit, and body to God freely by submitting your selfish nature to the cross of Christ in baptism.
As a family we are here to help each other grow spiritually, and therefore we must meet together weekly to encourage each other to love God with all our hearts.
We believe each member is a minister gifted by God to serve others, and that our responsibility is to help each person use his or her gift to connect to the family as a whole.
We should strive to bring pleasure to God through worship every day of our lives. Our worship is not bound in tradition or rituals, but comes from passionate, committed people desiring to connect with God.
